Well as you may Know I received my Equinox 800 last Thursday the 21 of June. Reading the manual and a certain book put out by a friend name Clive...

i thought it was time to get the ole girl wet.... Shawn and i took our Equinox's out for a little local spin i think we found a few coins, on the way home I see a missed call.

It was my Son inviting Shawn and me to come down and hunt some of my old stomping grounds in Florida.... Well Shawn had other commitments and said for sure

next time. Clearing my calendar I informed my Son i was en-route. Traveling lite I brought 3 detectors all water machines. My son James has an Excalibur and is very proficient when it comes to gold recovery.

James had 133 targets; I had 107 targets with the Equinox 800 my unit was using my audio sears with a after market connector waterproof. and the meter was submerged over 12 hours and maximum depth of meter was 4 ft from surface . Very high Salt content no brackish water!

Had a awesome time visiting my son and my grandsons and it was great to watch my son kick the shovel and claim his gold....
in closing i am still trying to collect my thoughts on the Equinox it is deep and does not miss much. Look forward to learning to master its skill set

Which side of the island were you on Jim? I agree dont miss much...... the more you use it the more you realize ...... oooops that was a target the other day. This machine speaks a little differently....... a little more work IMO than the Xcal and CTX, BUT may surprise you on its depth..... even in the water. It can be a very individualized machine because of its tones/volume adjustments and finding your comfort zone with the chatter....... so a good pair of phones are important.

Nice digs Mostus:beers:!! It has to boost your confidence level putting some bling in your bag. I feel for you in the total numbers game, did a comp. hunt fathers day weekend and the youngsters smoked my count:rolleyes:
Laplander

to catch all those earrings that kept going thru my scoop other wise this old salt might have closed the gap a bit .....

but hey I remember being a young Buck and punching out the gold

need to drop some weight but other that... feel fine and people pay money that do not get an all night work out at the gym.
it was priceless every star in the sky no toxic sun screen shooting stars and the pinkness of dawn crystal waters on the emerald coast....
that white hair is from my son and his 2 tours to very bad places....Thank God he is Home ....And Happy !

"Whoever get's there firstist with the mostest". Gotta love it. By one of the South's greatest Cavalry Generals, Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest. The Wizard of the saddle, and how he lived up to his name.

Great post! Makes for great memories when family hunts together.
