Recent hunt from the old baseball field

Because the weather was so nice at the end of the year, I decided to go pound the old baseball field one last time for the 2011 year. My research indicates that this field was built in the early 1950's and used for baseball until the 1980's. It was filled in some spots, and continues to be used as a public play-field for soccer and general recreation.

I uncovered a lot of clad -- $18.31. I found three silver Roosevelt dimes and a Standing Liberty quarter with the date worn away. My pal Matt found a 1944-D war nickle. Interestingly, I also found three 25 Centavo coins from Peru. These coins are the size of a nickle, and ring in at 12-37. Matt also found one. I have not yet researched what they are made of.

This spot should give me many hours of hunting in 2012. Also, Santa didn't bring me a video camera, but we ordered one during an after-Christmas sale. Hopefully, my 2012 videos will be on a better quality camera than the Blackberry, and I hope to get a tripod to show sights and sounds, and live digs.

Please follow the link to a Youtube video of my hunt. I hope everyone has a productive 2012!
