These finds from the past week - got out once during the week to a park and scored an1891 Indian, then a heavily hunted spot at another local park netted a '42 Merc and several wheats. Out of town this weekend - hunting at my favorite "extinct" fairground got me 6 more Indians (2 - 1901's, 2 - 1902's, 2- 1907's), a few old wheats and the silver bridle rosette. Almost forgot, found an old sterling grape vine ring that didn't make it into the picture because my daughter is wearing it! As a side note - the real green 1902 Indian was found literally laying on top of the ground, as though it were just dropped - crazy!

Better get yourself and extra digger and shovel. Have them ready on standby cause if you keep bringing in loads like that you'll need them soon. Who would have thought this many coins etc were still lying around in common areas like parks, fairgrounds, etc. Super finds. Slow down a little so I can catch up.

Wow I hope to find a good hunting spot like that some day. Great job

I have found a few Indians on the surface or an inch in the ground. I cant help but think that this, and some perfect old coins that come out of the ground may have been left by time travelers. I know that's crazy but how can a 110 year old coin be laying right on the ground?

I found an indian and 1897 barber dime at less than an inch deep earlier this year in the same area - ground here is very dry and hard.

I just recently found a 1700's copper laying right on the surface. Thought it was a clad quarter by the signal and was trying to determine if I should pop it out and actually decided not to but when I happend to look down I saw a big green disc and could not believe it. And this was on manicured property. Dang squirrels!!
