The half dollar was found at about 7" on edge in highly mineralized soil. It was so difficult to ground balance that I had to GB every few feet due to soil conditions. Needless to say the find surprised me. The Mason pin, is "gold" and was found at disc right at iron with the Vaquero. It sounded very good although would break up with a notch above iron, in fact I thought something was wrong with the machine. I had hunted earlier in the day with brand X and decided to switch machines. The moment I turned the machine on, and placed it to the ground, I got a signal, and it turned out to be the pin.
Finally the Mississippi cuff was a few inchs down in mineralized soil-possibly about 5" at the most- either way a decent signal.
