There have been a few hunts and some are good finds and some are better
Brian has been the Silver Guy and I finally found the Quarter and the Silver Nickel, the rest are his.

The picture includes the Buffalo Nickel and Indians I found and the Canadian "wheat" are mostly Brian's.

Brian found the large Religious pendent and I found what looks like some sort of older License.

This is the Baby Beaver found wounded this morning at a Park I was going to detect with a friend
He was injured and in shock and my daughter who is State Licenced Wildlife Rehabilitator came to pick him up and after a warm bath and some medical efforts on both our parts (Hydrogen Peroxide and A&D Ointment) he has mostly recovered and we likely will release him tomorrow morning at the same location to join his family. I am convinced he would have died if I had not intervened.

Of course on the finds, but better yet what you did to care for that beaver! They are my favorite animal!...they are the only other creature on this Planet besides us that build and change the landscape to suit their needs...they actually have a plan and get better at building with age...a person can walk up on a lodge and tell how old, healthy and experienced they are by the construction of the dam, lodge, and surrounding ecosystem...they dig canals, they stairstep up a valley, absolute masters of hydrology...so intune with their surroundings, they create habitats for all forms of life, as well as ways to cross the creek without getting your feet wet.......I was on a beaver pond once in the winter, the ice was a foot thick and clear as glass, those beavers came out of the lodge and were swimming below my feet, rolling over and looking up through the ice at me, just as calm as could be...I saw a special on TV a few years back of some old lady who built a house on stilts over a beaver pond up in Maine...she had a 'gangplank' ramp right through her floor, and those beavers would crawl up in and come inside her house for a visit!
