Last week I was back in Ohio with my buddy Soopa Dave and we spent some time hunting some old field sites as well as a little door knocking and a park or two mixed in. With my business I've really not had much time to hunt that last year so it was good to get away and swing coil for a while. We battled the snow, rain, wind and my Etrac acting up for a while to come away with some great finds. The highlight for me was a 12:20 in an old field site that I figured was going to be another flat button but out popped something tiny and shiny. At first I thought it was Spanish silver since it looked cut but it turned out to be my first ever trime! Even though it was chipped I was still really excited to have found it, as I'll probably never find another. Unfortunately the fertilizer toasted the Injuns and the blow got one of my largies but overall I was pleased with all the goodies we got.
