Received my AT Gold today:detecting:

Hello! I received my AT Gold today. I decided to wait until I finish walking my dogs before opening the package because if I opened it I am sure the dogs would not have had their walk...

So I opened the package and look at all the goodies I received with my detector. Cool!! The place I ordered it from, added a $300 worth of extra goodies on top of the ones offered by Garrett...Way cool!!!

I assembled it without any problems...I already saw the video about it in the Garrett Channel on You tube... I was surprise by how small the DD coil is on the AT Gold. Because I been using my Ace 250 with the 10X14 DD excelerator coil. Quite a difference in size. But This is what is needed to search in places with a lot of obstructions and boulders and stuff.

It was pitch black outside by the time I got back home and it started to rain heavily. So I guess I will have to wait until tomorrow to give it a try.

To bad the sun goes down around 6h00 PM this time of the year around here. Not much time after work to play with my new toy...:sadwalk:

Don't let the smaller size of the 5" x 8" coil compared to the 10 x 14 on the ACE fool you. It gets decent depth and great sensitivity.
