Realtree mini Ransack

Well, got up at O dark and of course read the forums...stepped outside off the back deck for a smoke and a squirt, which is my daily custom....The pacysandras dont seem to mind, and in fact seem to look forward to a good solid warm bladder watering....Big Dipper in the sky to the North, just like usual, right where she should be at 5am this time of year...so far so good, heard the gentle 'tink,ta tink' of melting snow off the roof dripping into the gutters, as if some woodland elves were practicing on tiny steel drums made out of soup cans, using 8 penny nails for sticks ...Hmmm, good sign, above freezing all night!...My dog, a rare 'MiniMoMas" (Miniature Mongolian Mastiff) named 'PaiMei' was still asleep, as was Mrs. Mud and Granny....All three are big trouble for Ol Mud, demanding of attention, treasure and time, Ones up all night on guard for robbers, one costs me a fortune in hair cuts, and the other one craps in the yard chases the mailman! ......I figured I better just run my milk route of totters and snowpiles to ascertain conditions...here we go!, 2015 season underway![attachment 309282 mar1415-2.jpg]

Rolled slowly through the parking lots at the local MegloMart, eyeballing for bills etc. ...snow piles still too high, hit some school entrances on the S side of the buildings, narrow band of exposed dirt was thawed and stabbable...totters were still snowed and iced in, but I hit some tight clad signals and noted their location I will be back for...grabbed just under a buck fitty in clad with the 70 and this nice Realtree hooded jacket that was slowly making its way out of a snowpile, maybe get $5 for it at the garage sale?, maybe make something out of it? Finds pouch? rig coverlet? beanie out of one of the sleeves?...Its sized M...too small for old Mud....

Maybe give it to the girl that works the counter early mornings down at the 'StopNRob'? She has a kid that it should fit quite nicely...... Only gone an hour...too early in the season to really work it and post a preponderous massive haul worthy of a post, so I drove around, drank coffee, smoked of course, and just took a cursory look at the overall local thaw situation, like a buzzard circling the town...The 70 was riding shotgun in Rosie's reclined passenger seat....felt good and comfortable to see her there by my side after such a long Winter..We had a great time remembering treasures found and our hunting time together!
Every once in a while I reached over and gently stroked her silky control box, going around the corners, I instinctively shot out my right arm to make sure She was safe..Y'all understand....Not much of a hunt, but a really great morning none the less!

Life doesn't get any better than this, sounds like everything is the way it's suppose to be and the hunting season is just beginning.

Yep, you are warming up for the hunting season. Glad you got out. I always enjoy a good read. :beers: HH jim tn

The dog deserves some early morning sleep since it was "up all night on guard for robbers".

Up all night on guard for robbers? What the dog? PaiMei? No, he sleeps like a baby, I doubt a band of bald headed Hari Krishna's banging tambourines could wake him. He's the one with the huge Barber expenses!... Granny is the one who is a scared of robbers, mainly ones with Familial ties...The Wife always did fancy a man in uniform, and we have a big yard...its quite a walk back to the house sometimes..
