Really sweet GT and accessories listed in classifieds

I hope I won't get into trouble mentioning it here, but this is the best audience to drop a note to. My GT control box looks like I just got it, boots on the switches too. I have the S8, WOT and other goodies to offer. If there is no interest I may put it to auction. Check it out if you are considering the GT or looking for a second one. I'm still keeping my modded Excalibur 2 because it can do the duty I mainly used the GT for, sweeping the beach. My Excalibur feels light and well balanced on the CF straight shaft.

Sovereigns have a way of finding their way back after being let go. It's true!

Is it me ............ or has there been less interest in used Sov and Xcals? Maybe the used CTXs hitting the market has hurt the sales some...... especially those with a little warranty. I have a Sov on the local CL with a probe, 13", 5" and S shaft too. I get a message now and then from people trying to steal it lol. BUT.......... if she sells she sells......... i like it just dont use it as much since its HOT here in Fl to play around on the dry sand.

I just purchased a brand new one that came with three years warranty. I have a CTX but just like the sound of the GT. I think I will keep this one it was the last new one Minelab had. Haven't even taken it out of the box. They are great detectors.

You can add Grubstake and I to the list. Both of us got new GT's. I believe that there were three machines. Who knows, there might have been more!

Unlike the other three or four that I have had, I plan on keeping this one. :detecting:

I have a friend that's a minelab dealer in AZ. He got the last three in the USA from minelab, I got one, Daddy got one and JIm bought the other. Nevr used mine yet either, waiting for the big storms so I can hunt the beaches in Monterey Ca. Grubstake

Mine ended up having a bad coil. At least it seemed to be bad. The coil would go nuts on wet sand, sounding off every time It touched the ground, and while swinging it. Not as bad on dry sand, though, and it worked fine in the water. The problem didn't seem to affect it's performance as I was digging pulltabs that were a foot deep. Just couldn't stand the constant falsing. In order to make sure that it wasn't just EMI or the machine, itself, I attached my other 10" Tornado, and with that coil, the machine worked fine. Also tried out my Excalibur and it worked fine. The coil is, currently, on it's way to the service department, at Kellyco, where the experts can check it out.

Goood thing it has a full waraty, Daddy. They will get it fixed or send you anew coil. Grubstake

The advantage of having a brand new one for sure.

You got that right, Grubstake!

Looks like I'll b keeping her for a while. I did sell a couple of Sov accessory items that I didn't need as much. I'm waiting for the next storm that rips up the shore line or strips off sand.
