Really dumb question

Hi, I have been researching beach/surf detectors waterproof chest deep salt water. Seems to be only Excal, Beachhunter ID and waterproofing a Sov. GT. With Fisher being sold have ruled out the CZ20 at least temporarily based on service comments I've read.
I have found a very good deal on a used Sov GT and have convinced my old man to attempt a waterproof case.
Does someone have a bill of materials and a how-to make such a waterproof case? I've seen the available photographs.

The Sovereign is a great choice for a beach machine, particularly if you just want to do the wet sand and water's edge and maybe some light shallow water with some basic waterproofing. might ask joe of south jersey he just had an explorer waterproofed

I would look at the Detector Pro line of detectors also,fits a smaller budget and great machines
