"Realey" great hunt for me Sunday !!

I finally managed to get to another wooded spot near the cellar hole location I've been hitting lately - I needed permission for this spot. This past spring I found a newer silver spill, a couple IHs and a KG III farthing there.
I was hitting a few targets early on and it looked promissing : a sterling spoon marked "A. Stowell & Co" (in business in Boston 1865-1904), a musket ball, a buckle, copper leaf flowery thingy (looks like it was backed with lead at one time), and a worn 1864 two-center.
My prize was about 1/2 hour into the hunt. I got a sweet, high pitch signal and the depth was pretty shallow. I cut a plug and flipped it over - the ground was pretty dry. Lying there in the bottom of the hole was a LARGE, brown coin, I wasn't mentally prepared and assumed it was a copper. As I picked it up I could see features through the brown coating. OMG !! A 1778 2 Reale !!! (When you're alone in the woods can anyone hear you yell?).
I took a picture after I dug it while it was still coated with dirt and again after a soak and wash with soapy water. I couln't believe the condition !
I was really STOKED !!
Also found a Medalion commemorating the dedication of the Soldiers' Monument atop East Rock in New Haven (says CITY OF NEW HAVEN CONNECTICUT and the CT seal on one side and on the othr says SOLDIERS MONUMENT, DEDICATED JUNE 17, 1887).
Thanks for sharing. Bruce
