'Reale' good morning

in the woods

New member
Got out this AM for the first time in a few days. I'm just getting over the 2 day bug. Still tired, but able to swing.

Went to a location I've had great luck at in the past. I've pounded the field, so now it's time to go into the woods. The coins I've found here Fugio, KG's, LC and others. It's an old stomping ground for someone.

The woods no doubt were not there when the field coins were dropped, so it makes sense that 100 feet away in the woods you'd expect to find other old coins. This morning was that morning.

Only took about 15 minutes and this 1 Reale came out. 14/35; 14/38 to start, once the plug was removed, the coin rang in at 12/44, sweet and solid.

If it's sweet and it repeats, dig it.

I only lasted about 2 hours and got a couple shot gun shells, but will go back when the suns to hot to be in a field.

Congratulations! I can't wait to find something from the 1700's for myself. Found a crusty copper today, it's still soaking, but doesn't look good.

Great find you got there.I cross my figures just to pull something up in the late 1800's ...To pull a 1700's coin i'd need to sit and smoke a cig :smoke:
