Real disappointed in the "Made In America" TV segment on Garrett...

All they showed was snipets of this and snipets of that, nothing of real substance. It was really chopped up. Didn't do a thing for me and was a big let down. Then White had to jump on the bandwagon by running one of their commercials in the middle of the Garrett segment.

Not too long, thats fer sure. I recorded it, and
the whole Garrett part of the show was only about
8 min total. I guess about the only good part was
seeing where the yeller fellers are born, and who
their mothers are.. :please: A lot the assemblers
seem to be women.
Here's a few pix of yeller feller land, for those
with no cable..

All those look to be ace machines...
I think the blue box, the 150s, and
the green, the 250's..
Dang..I missed the whites commercial..
I had paused it during the commercials,
and didn't even notice it. I could probably see it,
if I watched it again later I guess.

I was dissapointed, too, but it still provided some things I enjoyed: The construction and wiring of the coils was fascinating.

I missed the White's commercial, too; Gosh what a bummer:sleepy:

Ditto, very interesting though. Very nice facility to produce all those Ace machines!!!!!

Well lets face it, Mr. Garrett didn't want the competition to see too much, just look at all the things we noticed. Looks like the ACE 250 is selling like gangbusters.
I sometimes wish I had bought my ACE 250 before I bought my GTP 1350, however I am having a lot of fun with both.

Guess I was wanting to see a lot more too...

But it's best for me that they don't get everybody doing it! Some body has to spend some quality time out there loosing stuff for me to find.NOW...That's a show I could get behind!hehehehe

Yeah it was their standard BS commercial showing the old coins and gold rings you can find your very first time out with a White.

mini series? made for TV movie? If you have watched Made in America before, you know its a short 10 or so minute clip. I actually would have preferred the Tropicana clip to be longer and show more beach scenes :)

Well...I was kinda ticked since over here in Toronto, Rogers Cable doesn't carry the show:rage:. However, it sounds like I didn't miss a thing.

Looks like the only way I'm going to cure the Fever is to had out next weekend (if the ground thaws a little) and start beepin' and diggin':detecting:.

First thing they'll do is start raising rates. HA. When I first came to Oregon in 1969 cable TV cost $4.00 per month - now it's $50.00 and goes up every year and we're still watching the same old movies we watched in 1969.

.......put those machines in the hands of someone with more than five minutes of swinging experience. Those idiots they showed trying to use the detectors were a joke. One guy held the coil out in front of him, swinging it about 2 inches in either direction and "pushing" the coil more than swinging it. The whole segment was a real letdown.

:confused:Gee wissch ???? 50$ us. for cable tv wow you are getting f... for real .We have the cable, the phone and high speed Internet for 67 a month and that's canadians..$$$ ..And no it is not roger its all the same company Videotron a division of Quebecor...one monthly bill for all 3 ...
