READY PACK WITH BATTERY

DEARS ; help me please because I don't like the original minelab Excalibur 2 battery because it's so bad and it will be low after 1 time hunting so can I get minelab excalibur lithium battery pack & charger ready for use. Regards

RNB makes the best replacement battery. Just drop it into a pod and charge it up- faster, longer life and lighter! A little more cost, but great bang for your buck.

Thanks sir . But how is the steps with video or pictures can help me to change the old battery with RNB battery . If have ready pack with RNB battery maybe it will be a better idea. Regards

Swap is simple enough for a child. Remove two set screws and plug into 9v connector in the tube. Once back together take your finger and run a bead of RTV silicone around the cap and on the black swrink tube to seal.

I need more explain please with video it will a good idea so please i want more information than words. Regards

AND COULD YOU PLEASE SIR GO TO HIS HOME AND SHOW HIM HOW ITS DONE?

Written Step by Step instructions from the RNB Innovations web site.

EX-3000 Installation Instructions for the EXCALIBUR II
1- First remove the black soft plastic end cover that is glued to the battery pod.
2- Very carefully insert a straightened out heavy paper clip that has been bent in half between the cover and the battery pod, moving it around to break the glue's bond without tearing the cover.
3- Once the cover is free, remove the cover from the pod.
4-  Mark the end cap and battery pod with a magic marker so the end cap can be replaced in the same position.
5- Completely remove both set screws holding the end cap in the battery pod.
6- Very carefully twist and pull the end cap out of the tube, the resistance is from the O-ring which must NOT be damaged or the pod can leak.
7- The battery pack will now slide out of the pod, make sure there is no dirt or sand left inside the pod by wiping it clean.
8- Disconnect the old battery pack.
9- Very carefully remove and clean the O-ring, do NOT use any sharp instruments to remove it.
10- Once the O-ring has been wiped clean with a soft paper towel apply silicone grease all around the O-ring sparingly, Ace Hardware 90% pure silicone grease 4095667 works well as does Sil-Glyde.
11- Place the O-ring back into the end cap groove and connect the new battery pack, making sure the connectors are clean, optionally add some dielectric grease.
12- Slide the new battery pack into the battery pod, if it is a tight fit due to the older pod versions taper, apply some silicone grease to the edges of the pack to insert.
13- If a silica desiccant pack came out of the pod when opened replace it at this time.
14- Very carefully twist and push the end cap back into the pod without pinching the O-ring, which could cause leakage.
15- Once the end cap is back in and the magic marker lines and screw holes line up, place the set screws back in.
16- Do NOT over tighten, snug them down firmly without stripping the threads.
17- Place the soft black plastic end cover back on by putting two dabs of RTV silicone rubber inside it and pushing it on.
18- Optionally you may wrap a turn and a half of electrical vinyl tape around the battery pod covering the set screw holes and let friction hold the end cover in place.
19- Charge the new battery before use.
20- ONLY use the supplied charger for charging the Lithium Polymer Battery

LOL..... now there is instructions. Thou i thought removing two set screws and once seeing inside would be simple enough.

dew, you clearly have never worked with the General Public.

Just re-charge the battery every night......no big deal.

One company even had a video on how to do it for the batteries that they sold on the bgt auction house but since RNB came out with a better mouse trap they took the video down.

CF...... no guess not, 22 years in the military and 6 as a Magistrate Judge. Not techy..... more one of those guys who takes it apart and a light bulb either comes on or dont lol. Mel.... before these new batteries hit the market we had to deal with taking 2 batteries just to get thru a hunt on the ole blue with 700 mha batteries. Thank goodness thats changed. Does it not leave you scratching your head why all detectors dont now come with Lith? I would have shown a video off U-tube, but not sure on how to NOT show those commercials. However, i did see at least 5 or 6 showing HOW TO change out the battery.

dew, you do know that wasn't any comment about you, but was about the general abilities/intelligence of the public at large.
as a Judge, I imagine you could tell way more darwin/dumbA stories than I can.

Just think NIGHT COURT lol...... ya i got stories for the liers bench for sure. No i knew what you were referring to.
