Readings on the gold??

What readings should be on the screen MXT if the gold is under the loop?
I cannot figure out.

So far I dig only "25 cents" - 80-86 VDI. With all other readings I am confused and prefer not to dig. To be on the safe side.

So simple with Dual Field!!! You dig every signal like crazy!!!

Small gold nuggets, gold earrings, gold chain will read at -20 to 0

Small gold rings, gold earrings, gold nuggets will read 0 to 15

Most bigger gold rings, gold nuggets, gold $1 coins will read 15 to 30

Largest gold rings, larger gold nuggets will read 30 to 45

Gold $10 coin will read 70 to 78

Gold $20 coin will read 79 to 81

Its best to dig it all if you are looking for gold.

And what else should be said on the monitor in addition to VDI? Ring? Gold? Nugget?
I see word "ring" very often - but there is no gold!!!!

I want to find a ring first.

Try hunting in the prospecting or relic mode that will let you know if it's ferrous or nonferrous metal, and the tone changes as well. In the coin mode it will show up as pull tab - ring on the display.

Exactly!! It says "pulltab-ring"!

And in prospecting or relic mode can I find any coins as well? Not to go home empty handed? She won`t belive that I went metal detecting!
I did some bad things in the past.
No more now.

I understand I'm in the same boat! YES you can find coins and jewelry in all three modes some people like relic and prospecting mode best because of the tone change.

I can give VDI numbers for gold but really I have found gold from 0 to 57 ( a penny) and every number in between. Please quit looking at the icons, ring, buckle etc. Use the vdi's they read the same in all 3 modes, C/J, relic, and prospecting. A penny, dime, or quarter will give the same reading in all the modes. If a penny reads 78 in C/J it will read 78 in relic and just because it says button it will still be the same penny. Rob
