I hunted the site of a former colonial house over the weekend. Suppossedly George Washington had stopped and rested and watered his troops at a well know spring at the house, this was on his march from Springfield to Pompton Plains. The area is all wooded now and in the woods I found a King George 1st 1722 and a KG 2nd 1749 copper . I also found the shoe buckle pieces, a spoon bowl, some buttons and in one spot the ih pennies, an 1882 and 1886. It sure was a fun hunt! Randy(NJ)
