Reached 1,009 coin mark today

Well got out for a couple hours today and found 16 coins that put me at 1,009 for the year at a total of $ 67.88 so far this year of which half were pennies .
That's not counting any relics or trash I dug . Each year my totals improve a little bit gives me a goal to work towards each year ..

Here's how I keep track of my yearly coins and finds . I use to keep track of how many places I hunted and what I found for the year at each one but got to be to much trouble so dropped that .

I have owned servel detectors and now have the MXT and am finding a lot more nickels . Far as that goes finding a lot more of all the coins, what a different detector doese for you. Mxt is buy far the best one I have got .
You sure killed the nickels .

Congrats Harold ! You've still got a couple months to reach 2000...

Yeah wolfdog I had a really good producing park that was full of nickels took me about three years to get the nickels picked out of it . Guess the Detectors before me must of been discriminating all the nickels out and left them for me .

And SRF2112 I will have to find some super spots to get anywhere close to 2,000 cause pickings are getting slim in my favorite spots . besides we usely stop hunting sometimes in November or early December when it freezes and the snow gets here .

Thanks guys I'm just glad I am improving every year .

Thats alot of holes dug,,,, wow

And you ask, what is PCV?

That stands for Per Coin Value, which is a simple way I keep a tally of how I am doing through the year in general. With $67.88 face value for 1009 coins, you're average PCV is 6.727

I like your "PCV" system Monte. It is a little disheartening to see just how cheaply I'm selling my spine though. I say we all lobby the U.S.mint to start minting $2, $3, $5 ? coins so we can all move our PCV decimal point over to the right. Just a thought...
