um......what did you "resurface them"with? coil cover wasnt an option?

That is Loctite Marine Epoxy. Max and I have opposing views on coating coils. I am a coil cover guy, I just remove it after each hunt and wash it out. When it shreds, I stick a one on. The Epoxy has to be reapplied about every 3rd hunt, as I rub through it. I'll NEVER use it again, unless there is no coil cover available.

can you do it to a Sunray S-12, as I always get sand stuck in the coil cover and I get falsing and finely got tired of it, and now I Beach hunt without the coil cover.
