RE: Stock coils on the Explorer II

I just recently noticed that there are different markings on certain Explorer II stock coils.
Some have a stcker that says: Explorer 1000 and others say: FBS 1050
Both coils are black. Are there any differences between these two coils besides the size difference? Are there any performance differences? When was the FBS 1050 introduced?
I have the Explorer II with the Explorer 1000 coil and was wondering if its worth getting the 1050 the coil? Anyone here know enough about these coils to be able to advise me?
