RE:QUES ON DIG TOOLS?

DUCTMAN

New member
I have a short shovel with a handle on it and I cant dig deep enough with it to reach my target, anyone ever use a post hole digger,I want my holes as small as possible. THANKS,JOE

Hello Ductman, I haven't used a post hole digger before. I would imagine it would be a heavy thing to lug around with you, just to dig up targets. If it's bottles you're after, you'd want to be careful you don't damage anything in the post hole digger's way. If it's just targets in general, you're better off just using a pick with two ends, a point and a flat blade, unless you're doing grassed areas. There are a great assortment of tools available in digging grassy areas with a cion popper, or other. You weren't exactly specific what you're using the post hole digger for, so I answered both scenarios for you. But to me, it's too heavy a tool to lug around detecting with you.
Golden.
PS: How's the old site going?::)

Ductman, I have to agree with Golden's statement. The post hole digger would probably work great with single coins or targets, but it's a heck of a thing to have to carry around with you. I have a small shovel, a sifter and in harder dirt I use a small pick ax. Seems to work pretty good, and not too heavy to carry around. Marc.
