I dug this button where I was told sailors and soldiers used to hunt for food many moons ago, The area is very difficult to hunt as there are many area that were used for dumping, but the treasures are still there and many a well seasoned hunter has come here from all over. I was told by my good friend C.O., if you find something here, especially coins, they are going to be nice...Thanks in advanced for your options on this button... I see no bench mark on the back...

Not a good photo but it looks like a Na 113 in the
Albert button book. Here's a shot of similar one in the lower left of the photo!
 
Although your button appears to be a US Navy, look at the back. If it's brass, it is most likely a period button w/o a back mark. If it's tin/iron, it is most likely a civilian copy; circa turn of the 20th century. Good hunting, David @ Dixie
