RE minelab repairs

Member
Just wondering Ford sells a lot of cars . What if there was no one to fix them ? There is a hell of a lot of qualified electronics guys in north America . There is no need for this repair backlog . Minelab should tell consumers before purchase of an excallibur that they will have to wait months for repairs . , or they should have theyre own repair depot . Im going to tell TRUMP.

I doubt that. Metal Detecting is much more of a niche thing than driving.

I know the repair center repairs quite a few excals from owners who had someone else work on their detector thinking anyone can mod or fix them only to find out that wasn't true, The excals come in with the motherboards butchered up, torn traces, bad wiring and leaking......

Minelab outsourced the repair services for a reason. One would suppose that running a repair center in FL would be less costly than in Chicago. It is reasonable to suppose that Minelab's compensation to K'co is less than the costs ML was incurring previously.

The rate K'co gets was likely negotiated based on the status quo when this all started, before the passing of their technician.

Why all this speculation on my part? Because folks have difficulty understanding why a replacement or two haven't been hired. Maybe it's as simple as that the salary and benefits K'co can afford to pau are insuffifient to attract qualified applicants. If this is the case, then Minelab is the only source of funding to solve the problem.

Of course, maybe this is all wrong and it's just that fixing metal detectors is so strange and difficult that almost no one can do it. Also maybe I'm just overlooking some other reasonable explanation.

If I am right however, then the solution can only come from Minelab.

Plain and simple if no one buys there product due to complaints about how long it takes for repairs(me included sent it in 2 weeks ago)
Something would be done

I am at a little over six weeks and counting. I might get it back by spring if we have a long winter.

It appears that Minelab is not concerned with providing Any Customer Service. They do not even answer E-Mails.

To say that I am Unhappy with Minelab would be putting it quite mildly. I do not place the blame on Kellyco. They are doing the best that they can under the circumstances but Minelab does not seem to care about their Customers.
