This is the Barber Quarter that started it all. I dug two in the same area of a grassy area near a picnic spot. It's the first barber for me in that park, so I wondered into the nearby woods and hit Silverado... Hee Haa... It was the second visit to the grassy area. :chase:

As always, many dimes... a 1916 dime came to light, but very worn and may have had the D mint mark, can you spot it.... maybe next time...LOL.

Well, here they are 80 silver coins in 6 hunts, it's more silver then I get in a year. I had one other place where this happen where I got 98 silver and the other hunters I invited had dug another 110 between 4 of them. This was a blessing to be able to find a spot that in my opinion was hunted very poorly, and many causes may have brought this about... The amount of trash in the area, poison ivy & poison oak were present. The earlier detectors that didn't have much discrimination, and the fact that the rangers were watching this area very carefully. Whatever the reason I give God the thanks for finding such a gem. Now that's a lot of silver... :surprised:

The Walking Liberty is the only big silver to come out of the area, It was found when my hunting buddy had to leave and I escorted him half way out, and as we walked up the trail, I got that all familiar high screaming tone from my Bose QC 2's. I stopped, he looked at me... What??? I have heard this pitch before... Digging down about 12 to 14", I still could not find the target, my buddy took his pin pointer and found it in the large amount of soil which I had dug, and he said... Here it is Phil... a Walky, and the look on each others face. He said, awesome Dude, and he started to hunt as well, because he was not going to miss out on some silver... In 15 mins. he dug close to 6 silver, 3 in the same hole. I stood behind and dug 13 silver coins that afternoon... Great Day and Great Spot... Remain Blessed, and remember to pray one for the other...
