second interview for the job at the hospital. I had went back to construction because I did not receive any calls from the hospital, but the construction job which is a on and off type job is always there for me, OH....MY BACK... No, really a blessing and learning a lot, but I'm better off at the hospital because it'll take too long to make the money needed to take care of the family. The way prices are going up for heating, many will be moving south and subletting thier homes and apartments here for the winter.
Columbia has been fighting me tooth and nail on the issue why we were let go. Some of you may be saying that this is a treasure hunting forum, and your right, because sometimes God himself sends us treasures in form of people, and Eliot Rivera is one of those treasures that I was able to find with the help of the Internet. Eliot, was surfing one day, and he ran into my homepage when he was searching for musicians. Turns out we both played in the same band when we were younger, and he found that I played with the LeBron Brothers in the 70's, meanwhile I've been listening to a CD that I've been listening to since 1968 and he's one of the lead singers.... wow.... I go to sleep listening to this CD almost every night, Why??? Because it represents a time in my life when all was perfect in my life. I was young, full of life and ambition to become the best sax player of my time, but Jesus saw to it that I would play for him instead, and just play for extra income to care for the family because no one would sposor me to record a CD to make a living playing gospel music.
So, Eliot e-mails me, and I do a double take. Here is the very singer I've been falling asleep listening to sing, and he wants to know when I played with the band. Meanwhile Columbia was setting me up to terminate my contract, it's now Feb, 2005. He becomes very angry, and turns around and refers me for a job at the hospital doing printing work. It's a good position and may open other higher paying jobs there. Anyway, it's amazing how the prayers of all of you here and my wife have turned a bad issue into a good one.
I went in for the second interview, and I was amaze how easy going the interviewer was with me, understand exactly what had happen to me, knowing I have a small business and extending her heart felt commpassion concerning Jetro who she knows has cerybral palsy, because Eliot had told her that here is Phil, he could have shut down after losing his job of 23 years and yet, he continues in prayer and working the best he can to provide for his family. She spoke more about personal issues than the job, and said it would take 4 to 6 weeks for the paper work to be handled, but I had the job...
I wish to thank each and everyone of you that have held my family and I in front of the Lord's throne for something positive to happen. Bless you all and may the Lord answer everyone's prayers here at this forum... the best forum on the web... It says it right at the top.... The Most Popular Treasure Forum.
