>Now about why I like the Explorer XS II. Over all, it's a little lighter and the cross hairs are pretty much in sync with the cross hairs. The digital screen is a plus, I mostly go by the tones of the MindLab Explorer XS. Both the I and II have the same depth capacity, but, for some reason, I think the II has a little more depth and is much more sensitive to precious metals. One thing I can say, is that with the Explorer II, I dig less crown tops, cans, and screw tops. I don't know if its the fact that I can tell the difference of the tones or that because the Explorer II's tones are slightly different for these metals. Over all it's a great machine. I also think that we were attracted by the new plastic and other features that the Explor. I doesn't have. Hope this helps and if Guvner and Moutray want to correct or add to this post, please be my guess and I got the settings I use form one of you. God bless all and HH....
