I put a beefy Ty-Rap(R) around the bottom end of the shaft to keep it from spreading where it attaches to the coil yoke. It needs to be pulled down really tight. It seemed that was where most of the flex was coming from on mine. It minimized the movement which should minimize wear and fatigue.
