When I buy the CTX 3030, I want to be able to pack it into a suitcase when traveling. If I break the detector down, how long is the longest piece? Thanks

Try this link it is about using a hard case for the CTX 3030 http://www.findmall.com/read.php?86,1843848,1986422#msg-1986422

Should have the info you need.

I fly with my CTX often. It will fit in a large suitcase after removing the coil and separating the bottom shaft from control end. Don't forget your charger. HH :minelab:

When broken down it is slightly longer than the max limit allowed for a carry-on. I ended up buying a full size suit case and padded it as much as I could. My next step is to buy a hard case for rifles and modify it as has been posted here before.
