well i ordered a coil cover for my 1350; I'm wondering while waiting for it, can i put electrical tape on my coil?

Those coils are built pretty tough. Unless you are constantly detecting in rocks, your coil will be just fine.

These coils are poured resin and tough as a nail. I wouldn't sweat it. When you get the cover make sure you keep it clean inside of debris and moisture or you'll wind up with a little falseing.
