re-case surfmaster

kris

New member
my 1994 vintage surfmaster PI case recently sprung a leak tried new seals but stilled leaked the case seems to have distorted so had to get a new case the original not available here in australia and to import one from the US would cost an arm and leg, had a couple of cases from another project the control seals and nobs are from an old waterproof radio it passed my bucket of water and brick test without any leaks , I have been out three times wadding with no problems.

regards
kris

That is almost like my Classic 1 on www.firstontop.com.
I put my controls on the inside of the my yellow case.
I dunk the detector over 50 foot of water no LEAKS
the clear case is cooler looking.
