It is here. No sun and in the thirties with a real stiff wind. Cuts through you like a knife. Going to be down in the teens tonight with the same wind whistling down through the Columbia Gorge - Mother Nature's giant wind tunnel - more than a mile wide and 3000 feet deep.

I found a lot of stuff this past year but this one is probably the oldest and really neat...........

When my brother was here from Florida he gave up on a target with his old White's MD, he just couldn't target it. That Ace 250 sniffed out this 1877 Seated Quarter. Moral of the story, he is now a proud owner of a Ace 250. 3 brothers, 3 Ace's.

Nice to see a Seated quarter! I have only found one (an 1855 w/Arrows, in about the same condition), and that was years ago.

I'm not sure about the timeframe of this contest, but if it's 2008 finds only, that makes it easier. I only have made two outings this year so far, and one of them didn't produce much. This is about it for me so far- haven't gotten the first silver of 2008 yet. (I did find a few nice coins in December).

I use the GTI-2500.
