rattler headphones

Has anyone used the rattler headphones with a whites detector

Bula I have not used Detector Pros Rattlers, but I have used headphones with just one ear cup. I found that I missed a lot of targets because of outside noise interference from the ear that did not have an ear cup. It did not take me long to go back to the normal setup of two ear cups. I thought that might be a problem. I get tired of moving one side off to listen to my pin pointer, that and I am deaf as he#$ so I thought it would be good to have one ear open for those other noise's like dogs & snakes.

There are times when you should keep an ear out for danger or talk to your hunting buddy, and for that I just move the cup off of one ear, all other times I like to use both cups of my Sun Ray's. If you are hunting in "rattler country" all the time than I can see their purpose.

If there are snakes around you won't find me hunting that area anytime soon. Just the thought of a snake sends chills up my back. HH Dennis in Idaho

I'm with you Dennis. I despise those slithering things and I will be out of there in a flash! :yikes: HH, Nancy

I use Rattler headphones, and they work well with the MXT especially with the MXT not having a volume control, now I can adjust the volume on the headset.

Plus, I can listen well using one cup with no outside noise interference. It's the only headset I use unless detecting near the ocean.

Get a set, You won't regret it.

If your hunting an area with snakes just wear some leg gators to protest you from bites they have saved me a time or two. And as far as hearing your pinpointer that's why one needs the DX-1.

I would get a DX1 but the one I have has a rounded tip & I can use it as a probe without digging a hole. I dig very few plugs while hunting parks and such, And have been able to retrieve coins from about six inches just using a screw driver & only making a 2 t o3 inch slit in the grass.
