RATS!!!! The vivitar 850AF I ordered for my Digital Rebel arrived D.O.A.

It won't even fire in manual mode. It looks like even if it did it's not fully compatible with my camera anyways... so...
I had to go with ol' reliable. The Vivitar 285HV. Got one locally. Set my camera on manual and let the flash unit do the work. Luckily I did some tests and it's giving me about a 1 stop underexposure on automatic across the board.. so....
I'll just set it for ISO 200 when in fact I'll have the Rebel ISO set at 400.
Anyone else use a Vivitar?
