Ratphones for sale - super clean!

A really nice pair of MSA style blue Ratphones.

My correspondence a few years back with Rick Viola was not encouraging regarding him ever getting back into headphone manufacturing, so getting a pair of these legendary phones means buying used.

These headphones work perfectly with light cosmetic wear as you can see from the pics. The black ear muffs that actually touch the ears look like new. Includes reversible "rat tail" (cord) to work with all detectors, stereo or mono.

$110 priority shipped CONUS. Payment by Paypal gift or USPS money order.

wanting to buy these but i am not sure if they will work on a fisher id edge.just bought a single cup killer b and can not make them work any help? thanks don

Don, I can't tell you with absolute certainty. But I don't see any reason why they wouldn't work.

Ratphones are different than most headphones, you switch from stereo detector capability to mono detector capability by reversing the detachable cord.

Killer B's have a switch (like most detecting headphones) to reverse from stereo to mono. Perhaps that switch is defective? Have you tried any other headphones with your Edge?

If you have the mono/stereo switch on a typical set of detecting headphones set the wrong way (or the cord with Ratphones) for the detector being used the phones won't work until you flip the switch the other way.

So if by some chance you haven't tried flipping that little switch (it's yellow on my Stingers) do it and that should solve your issue.

When I switch from my Fisher cz-3d to the Garrett AT Pro or vice versa, I have to reverse the cord on my Ratphones, flip the switch on my Killer B's or I won't get any sound. That's because one detector has a stereo jack and the other has a mono one.

I've never had a pair of Rats that wouldn't work with any detector I've used them on.

If other headphones work with your ID Edge, than the problem would seem to be with your Killer B's. Since you bought them new, you should be able to return them to the manufacturer under warranty.

Good luck, hope you can get your problem straightened out.

Someone PM'd me to ask if there are separate volume controls for each ear and in case anyone else is wondering the answer is yes.
