Ratios of views to comments on posts

Been going on for some time. So many of our members take the time to post a question, a tip, a hunting story, an opinion. Might get a couple hundred views maybe over a thousand or better. Than barely any comments on the post. Check them out, there's plenty of posts that get read 500 to over a 1,000 times. With hardly any interest. Kind of a mystery to me. I've got a couple of ideas about this, all probability wrong.
1. Possibly a lot of these viewers arn't registered so unable to post.
2. Maybe people just became shy about answering or making a post. For what ever reason.
3. Could be none of the above.
It's just confounding to me how lopsided the ratio is. If a post garners say a thousand plus viewings and less than 8 or so comments , well my 70 year old brain just can't figure it out.
Must be some kind of change in Society.

Hi Dancer, I have been on here a long time and put up a lot of posts. If I read something that someone has already talked about, why should I say the same thing? I just don't like at-a-boys much, I know if someone finds a good find, it is nice to see but 20 or 30 good jobs, is not what I like to read. Most of the time I read the main line and go on to next post. I will be 68 years young Nov. 7 and don't have time to read a lot of at-a boys. I think a lot of guys do intend to respond but cause they are so old they fall asleep while typing and never get around to pushing the post message button..lol. It would kind of be nice if there were a like button for those times you would like to acknowledge the post but don’t have time to respond with a meaningful response.... now,if you’ll excuse me I think I’m late for a nap.....
