Yesterday, one of my friends/customer found one of the rarest of all Confederate buttons: a Southern Confederacy button. I haven't examined it yet but he says it still retains some of the gold plating. He was using the Tejon. Good hunting, David @ Dixie

Wow, your buddy scored big David. Hopefully a picture can eventually be posted. Would love to see that button.

Hopefully, he will bring it by soon. I'm anxious to lay eyes on it myself. Evidently the button experts can't decide if it was made in Tennessee or Texas during the CW. Either place it remains one of the top CS buttons to find. I'll post a pic as soon as he brings it by. It was found here in TN. Good hunting, David @ Dixie
