His book was only about $20 but after reading it I ordered a White's Dual Field from Kellyco. I guess I can't really blame him. I'll probably want to kiss him after I start picking up the loot that the VLFers have left behind. VLF the site first and then go back and hit it with the PI and pick the deepies.
Seriously...thanks Clyve. Jim

Hi Jim,
Have fun with that new machine and give us some reports on what you think of it! I devoured the book but before I get a PI I need to get a VLF water machine! Either an Excal or a Tiger Shark. Then who knows if the old back can take it maybe a PI. What next? _(*&^$@^@#*&^&^&%%%*()_+)*&^%$#@@!

Best Regards,
Steve

Jim, I to would be interested in your thoughts of one machine over the other. I toyed with getting the Whites machine because their service is so good and would like to here an unbiased comparison between it and an Excalibur.

I don't consider myself much above a novice with either the Excal or the Tiger Shark. I have not been really pleased with the durability of my Excal so I might not give an 'unbiased' accounting. Honestly, I don't see myself using the Excal anymore now that I have the TS. Since I am fresh water only I am not sure I will see an advantage of the Excal over the TS. Were I in salt water the Excal would probably be the only reasonable choice. I am waiting a bit to see if I change my mind, but I think the Excal will be seen in the classifieds in the future.
After reading cjc's book and comparing it with my experiences, I think the VLF of your choice and a pulse of your choice is a good combination. You have all the bases covered doing that. Jim

man l hate it when that happens  let us know how it works out for ya i"m toying with the idea of getting a PI to.

Just got mine out of the closset since i got his book too, we'll give it some more time this time, was out till 4 am last night, mostly finding targets then experimenting with the settings.(nothing of much value but deep)

I am thinking that it's only fair that all the manufacturers of PI machines provide royalties to cjc for his promotion and instruction on the PI machines. Jim
