Not doing much better here in NY...33 as I type this, 39 for tomorrow, and 39 for Friday...Still a bit chilly for me just getting over a sinus infection...

Well, 16 degrees with a wind chill of -2 here in SorryExcuse (Syracuse), NY tonight...High of 32 tomorrow, and 25 on Wednesday...Give me some warm weather will ya???
I am going stir crazy...the walls are closing in, I can almost hear the coins calling to me....walk into the dirt...walk into he dirt....*yeebee yeebee yeebee*

I wish I had your forecast. It has "wamed up" to 12 below zero in here in Cody Wyoming. Wind chills -33 to -47. Our frost line has the ground currently frozen to 6 feet down. Should top out at about 8 feet. On the bright side we should be able to to swing our detectors by May!
 
Oh my God, those wind chills make it seem like a heat wave here!:hot:
 
Give me a break already...It is 26 as I type this...High today is 29, tommorow it will only be 18 degrees...To top it all off, our boiler for our radiator heat is on the fritz...I am freezing my buttox off!!! :ranting:

that sucks, can you burn wood? Do you have a fireplace? We have been burning wood in our fireplace, it helps with the heating costs
 
Unfortunately no...I have to light the burners on the stove and turn the oven to broil for about 30 min., then open the oven door just to get heat in here...The repair guy is coming tommorow...I have a feeling it is a voltage issue in the control box...My Thermostat is not seeing but only about 1 volt...it should be seeing at least 12 volts. Think he will have to replace the whole control box...It was meant to last 20 years...It has been in service for 25 years. No problems until this year.

Man, that's not good. Got any heating blankets? Are your water pipes going to be okay?
 
Water pipes will be OK...All the piping is above ground, and in insulated areas. Hot water is still working, just no heat unless it is turned on at the boiler...which I will have the landlord do tonight...They own the store below my flat, and a hotel about 10 miles away...he works at the Hotel during the day, then comes to close the store out at night...will be about 6pm EST for me to get real heat up here...:argue:

Welp. turns out it was nothing more than a worn out thermostat, and some rusted contacts on the solenoids that open the 2 zones on the boiler...after changing the screws and stripping off new wire, and replacing the thermostat, everything is A-OK...got heat, and the dog and fish are once again happy...:clapping: My better half will not die of pneumonia...:stretcher: My buttocks are warm and toasty...:hot: I know!!!...Too much info...sorry...lol
