I thought that AT Gold looked a lot like the AT Pro. What's really the difference.

I also thought that the AT GOLD was so named because it was made for GOLD. Not sure if it only a buzz word as in golden wand. Doesn't mean the wand will find gold.

Why did the company come out with them so close together? Hmmm.... I also heard the AT PRO will be discontinued. Is that so?

And what's the AT Gold like compared to the AT PRO when searching for GOLD. Even a Tesoro Compadre will hit on GOLD and the cost is a lot less.

Nice stuff . What's is the medallion with the lamp and book about? I dug a medallion last week with the lamp and book and I guess the olive branch. Yours looks very old. I don't know what it represents, I Gotta learn somewhere:shrug:. My Buddy looked at my medallion and did'nt know what it represents? Thanks for the Pics:thumbup:

Inch the award is an academic award.......looks old but isn't......take a shot of your back maybe we can make out something on it.

John-E if it looks like a duck, and swims like a duck........it's a duck...........

Johnny Cache you're RIGHT the Queen's writing the 8 look's like a 3 its a 1988!!!

pkrska ..........lots of difference between the AT Pro and the AT Gold....the Gold loves tiny pieces of metal and its 18kHz is more conducive towards the mid conductors, BUT that doesn't mean it won't point them all.......in the real world they ALL eventually get discontinued, but I bet the AT platform will be around for a few. I would think that any metal detector would hit on Gold if its BIG enough........some specialize like the AT Gold to hit on the smaller pieces and from what I hear there's lots more smaller pieces out there.

I left the house at 6:30 to get a short hunt in before dark. 14 coins = $1.12
