What is it about people and shipping a product? I mean I can't begin to count the number of times I've bought a metal detector, coil and stuff only to have the seller say "OK thanks, I'll try to get that shipped sometime this week." WTH? When I sell a detector, or parts there of, I get it packaged, shipped and a tracking number to the buyer as priority number 1. I feel bad if I don't get it shipped out that day, yet I have had sellers and dealers who just say well I've got you money so I'll try get some headed you way in a day or so.
I've had to cancel two orders now because the seller just doesn't strike me a serious or reliable. I understand things happen, you can be in the middle of things and such, but shouldn't you make the buyer aware of a possible delay BEFORE they commit to buying? It could make all the difference in the world. I pack up my MXT All Pro, which puts me a detector down, to trade it off to a dealer for another. I carefully pack it up, create a shipping label and then inform them with a tracking number and all that I will have it on the way as soon as the shipper opens in the morning. The dealer just responds with an "OK." Doesn't ask for my shipping info or reassures me by tell me he will get mine on the way and a tracking number as soon as he can. Like he wants me to send him my detector, he'll look it over and then decided when to ship mine to me.
I had a dealer who I communicated for some time on getting a new detector and some accessories, which I was never told were not in stock, and we agreed on a price, I sent him the instant pay only to have him reply that he had to wait for some accessories and would ship it out Friday. Hell this was Sunday. Don't sell stuff you don't have or at least be upfront and tell the buyer you will have to order it. A bit of common courtesy goes a long ways.
OK I'm done!
