Rained, So I Made Another Digger

Hi Folks,

I decided to make another digger like tha one I
made recently out of a 1/2" drive breaker bar.

I went down to tha pawn shop down tha road.
Looked all over for a 15" long breaker bar like
tha one I used ta make my digger.

Couldn't find one anywhere.

I finally decided on this 15" long 1/2" drive
ratchet.

I told my buddy at tha pawn shop I
wanted somethin real hard. I said,

" can I hit cha over tha head with it, ta test it
for hardness?"

He said " na, I'll just give ya a guarantee..."

" How much, " I said.

He said, " I don't care,,,,,$5.

I said " you drive a hard bargain ".

After 3 hours of grindin, I had it roughed out.

So you made another one in case you broke your first one? Like that's going to happen? LOL I think those tools will be around for thousands of years! Good job!

Nice work Tabdog, would that be 3 straight hours grinding to make the Tabdog coin extraction tool? I just need to find a donor ratchet. lol

Hi detectin4fun , Im sorry this is not directly related to this topic, but I need to find out if an underwater metal detector can identify Titanium?

Beautiful tool. Might make my grinding wheel smaller sometime. Jim

I found titanium a titanium ear ring once.

If you can detect a small piece of cast iron

you should be able to detect it.

But tha electrical conductivity is low.

Nickle silver at 18% is about tha same as

titanium.

Cast iron can vary.

It can be lower or higher than Titanium.

If that helps.

Yes that's right.

If I had a bigger grinder it would go faster.

6" is a little small for this metal.

I need to smooth it out with my fine wheel.

Tha Craftsman 15" breaker bar works real good.

This new digger is a little more narrow.

I am not sure if that is good or bad.

I need more diggin time to know.

I finished tha handle, so I can use it now.
