Rain...

Thanks Mark...Great idea. I was out today and got caught in the rain and didn't want to go home. I had rain gear on but the dog got soaked....LOL! Peace and HH. Matt

I've used the larger size ZipLok bags on my Time Ranger.

Food bowl covers with elastic around the edge. They are found with the foil and waxed paper at the grocery store.

Mark

I have a box of those bowl covers.
I found them at a dollar store for $1.00 a box...12 in a box...3 different sizes.
I haven't used them yet but I keep a box in my MD carrying bag.

The Bowl cover is a great idea. I have just set my detector, kept the same settings the whole hunt and used a grocery bag, the handles work as the perfect tie down, but then you cannot see your screen. You should check out Darkflights post on here about his water proofing mod of his tracker IV it is a good read. I will try the bowl cover next time I am out in the rain though, thanks for the great idea. You might need to get rain gear for your dog.

Matt,
Try using a clear plastic showercap like hotels or motels give their guests. They work great and will cover the whole control box.

Here's how I protect mine when I go to the beach. One of my monthly-refill pills has a small desiccant container so I take them out of the pill bottle and add these to the bad for moisture combating.
