Bored. Yeah, I probably am!!!! Stuck inside trying to count raindrops for a good chunk of the day yesterday. Got a lot of rain in our area, a lot of it, depending on the location. Up to 6" are some reports.

That should set us up for some serious fall hunting as typically our days now aren't as hot and of course, shorter.

Anyway, ready to go if the weather cooperates a little later this morning. Good luck everyone this weekend. HH jim tn

We're getting rain today and a high temp of 70! Yahoo..... Feels good! I want to treasure hunt, coyote hunt, hog hunt, duck hunt and deer hunt! But, I'm stuck at work.....for now!

It's wet and miserable out here, and is supposed to be for the weekend. I think that I will go bush whacking for old bottles.

Yeah, it has cooled of nicely here, too. Feels like a touch of fall in the air.

Chris and I hooked up for a short (for me) hunt this morning and digging was so delightful. 2 wheats and a thimble, of consequence, for me. Chris continued to hunt a little longer and he just called and said he scored a nice 1902 Barber quarter. WAY TO GO CHRIS! His A T Pro seems to really like Barbers. Dig good this weekend, everyone. HH jim tn

Glad you got out! I was up at the same time you were this am, watching the radar and checking the wind direction and some of the surfcams...even though it was dark, a guy can see how the lights on the pier reflect off the water to tell how rough the Lake might be...so I figured, "if Jimmy is going, I will too"

Who is this Chris fella? He's doing pretty good! Is he a new detectorist you are mentoring?

Chris is a fellow club member and we have occasionally hooked up from time to time over the years. For sometime now we've been sharing spots we have obtained permission to hunt. My recent 2 cent piece came from such a spot that we both got permission to hunt on. He has been swinging for a good number of years.

Yeah, I checked the web cam early this morning on the lake in Mn we go to and noted it was 32 degrees there and 31 in the nearby small town. So Dak I heard got 8" of snow in places. The earliest for snow in 120 years. Elton, though, is looking forward to snow. He already has the snowblower gassed up and ready. zHH jim tn

Wow, snow already. It sounds nice....like a nice place to visit but wouldn't want to live there. And congrats to Chris! You guys know your stuff!

Jees guys I thought that's why you all bought the black beauty was to be able to hunt in the rain! Me and the poor etrac use a bread bag if it aint pouring but it has been, that's why I came here to check on you guys finds in the rain.

Ha, the rain we got for a while you would have needed a boat to get anywhere. Yeah, the A T Pro is water proof, but some of us swingers aren't. I've used a goodly number of baggies over the years myself. Thanks for giving us a visit. I slum up your way from time to time myself. HH jim tn
