RAIN DIDN'T STOP ME TODAY 2/7/14

Call around to a few MD buddies they all didn't want to go out so I went out myself( it was a windy and raining day here in the flat land of California). (Went out for 2 hours). I had the whole park to myself except for some young teenager taking cover under a covered picnic table. They were nice enough to point me at to the area where they've seen a lot of people hang out. I heard of stories of teenagers attacking MD guys but I guess they we're more afraid of me than I was of them. I was in a bimi and a dark sun glass. I been told I looked like an Asian Mafia detecting LOL. Found 1 1946 wheat penny. I was soaking wet by the time I was finished but I had a great time though. Happy hunting fellow MD and be safe out there.

Nice finds there and as for the rain, keep doin the rain dance, we need your veggies and fruits up here in Canada , cheers and HH. California's a pretty beautiful state, I used to spend a lot of time in the Red Bluff and Redding area going on bottle and coin digs.

Your persistence paid off. I planned to go dirt fishing today rain or shine, but Mama was sick and she's more important than my hobby.
If I recovered all those coins on land, I would sure be hurting. In the water, no problem. Just depends on the environment. It's a lot easier to scoop in the river or some swimming hole than stoop and bend to recover targets on land. At least you found enough for gas money and I love to find those wheaties. Hope you break your gold slump for February the next time you go dirt fishing. HH.

I haven't gone through a month without gold yet...hopefully this month I won't be skunk. Its still too early in the months. Its rainy and windy again today but I'm going to battle the rain and wind again. Will post my finds later.

Went out today but mother nature was cruel to me she gave me plenty of punches. Man it was so windy and raining ... I couldn't face the winds I was walking backward. After 35 minutes, I threw in the towel.
I wish it would stop raining but California is in a drought we need as much rain as possible.

Thanks William-NM. I'm a really nice person but when you're out metal detecting its good to put on something that will keep people from staring at you or get in your way LOL. That's why I like the mafia looks LOL
