Rain detecting????

Hello all, It is suppose to rain here all weekend.... Do you guys think the Safari would be ok if i went out in the rain??? I have a rain/dust cover on the meter...

I saw another post sometime back... Put some plastic wrap under the battery cover and reseal it. If you are going to out in the rain this might not be a bad idea.

wyohunter99,

Even with the rain cover I would wrap the control box in clear plastic. At the last DIV event I was using the rain cover during a downpour and the machine went whacky!!!! Kept running through a random sequence of tones and it scared the crap out of me. I ended up going back to the hotel and drying my machine, and after about an hour it finally stopped. The elastic on the rear of the cover sits over the air ports on the back of the control box and it seems that moisture was able to get into the box through that port.

Been detecting many rainy days over the past few months......I haven't experienced any problems at all. My rain and dust cover has been on b/b from kellyco...but a large sandwich bag has worked wonderful

[][] When you detect in the rain there is always the possibility of lightning in the area.so you takes your chances , get wet , get muddy and hope to like hell you wont get hit by lightning.
