Rain again - one ring today and a golden pull tab :)

Haven't been out detecting for a while (certainly wanted to), busy with other things, including the wife and kids went to New Zealand this week, due back in September.
Had some free time today though and the heavy rain wasn't going to stop me either! Although when driving the car and with the wipers on full, turning back did cross my mind more than once. :nono: :D:

Have been using the Ace 150 quite a lot and like it very much but there hasn't been much gold recently, plenty of coins and silver though. So, I wanted to give the Sea Hunter a run again and see what came up. Today was a dig all targets day, running on standard mode with zero elimination, which meant MANY pull tabs and nails came my way. Kept the gold colored pull tab, don't know why, just made me smile in the terrible weather.
Only two people swimming when I arrived. Didn't take the camera this time, should really get a waterproof case for it.

745 yen in coins
A few pendants, a dolphin without a tale, a junk ring below that. The chain/bracelet? at the bottom doesn't appear to be silver.
Plenty of sinkers and keys again - not in the photo.
And the 18K ring also marked .07 inside for the diamond. Small, but it got a MUCH, MUCH bigger smile than the pull tab did. :)

"BETTER TO BE OUTSIDE METAL DETECTING WISHING YOU WERE INSIDE NOT METAL DETECTING, THEN IT IS TO BE INSIDE NOT METAL DETECTING WISHING YOU WERE OUTSIDE METAL DETECTING"

My philosophy on this hobby.
Nice variety of finds. That sure is an interesting looking bracelet

I often compare metal detecting to fishing. A good friend of mine (a fishing guide) went to Australia to give a talk to a fishing club. He told me this story. Before his talk the club members first each gave a regular report about what had been caught recently....each one of them stood up and said something like this...."I heard someone caught a big fish at the wharf last week"....."A friend of mine also got a nice one."....."I saw someone catch a few yesterday".....you get the picture I think John....my fishing guide friend was VERY surprised and amazed that none of the members of that FISHING club had actually been fishing!!

So, with metal detecting I try to be the exact opposite to them. And I know you and many others on here do too. :D

From the land of the Bluenose.....those things can be annoying but makes the next dig there easier. Way to go fellow Seahunter !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
