Railway relic or :?:

While visiting the outback in Western Australia this spring, I came across a former railway line. Lots of old railway spikes as well as these:

Browsed quite a few R/R sites, but so far haven't been able to figure out what these are. They are about 2-1/2" - 3" long and 3/4" - 1" in diameter. Perhaps they have nothing to do with the railway. Any clever relic or perhaps railway buffs who can identify these? Thanks for looking and happy thingy hunting!

Soilsnoop, I see nobody identified your items, so I registered in this forum to let you know.
They are teeth from a rotomilling machine used to strip up layers of old asphalt from a highway so it can be repaved
