Railroad entry #3.....

Decided to go shoot 1 more on the last day of contest. Was cloudy and overcast this morning, the light was terrible but went out to see if there was anything to catch on the rails. Went about a mile from home and thought I would try getting a train speeding through a crossing....try a little something different with it. As soon as the train went by I recv'd a text from a friend of mine saying "I want that picture" ... I was wondering what the ???? Then it dawned on me that he works for the railroad and was on the train that just passed. Can't believe he saw me out there shooting photos.

Cool picture and cool story! Thanks!

Do you know whether or not if your friend could arrange for you to get a ride on that train? I would love to ride on one, but down here in South Texas it is not going to happen. Thanks for sharing this picture with the Forum. Kelley (Texas) :)

thanks for the comments..... in person it only looked like it was going about 50-60mph, I think the processing made it look like it was going faster. I would love to get a ride on that thing Kelley..and I've tried. There have been 3 or 4 co-workers jump ship at the sheriff's office and have gone to work at the railroad..they've been unable to pull it off.
