Railroad artifact?

somecomic

New member
Howdy. I am new to the hobby. Just got my first detector. Found this at an old ice harvesting plant in Pennsylvania. It was a site served by a small gauge railroad to ship the ice out after harvest. This was my first hunt ever. Found it about two inches down. I think it is a piece of door hardware from a boxcar. Can't make out too much of the identifiers on it yet. Definitely says Q & C co, Chicago. My guess is early 1900's. Any thoughts on positive id would be appreciated. Thanks.
