Radio Shack Wireless Head Set Model 33-1253

Silverleaf

New member
We recently purchased two Radio Shack wireless head sets for our Minelab Explorer II. We are experiencing a lot of static (on both units). The static does not come from where the plug goes into the metal detector. It seems to originate from where the plug goes into the swivel unit. There is no static when using regular head sets. Has anyone experienced this problem...and found a remedy for it?

Get a 6" adapter cable and a small end to 1/4" phone jack and velcro the transmitter to the Exp. as you don't want that connector on the transmitter to move around. I did have one that did do the stadic thing though. hey replaced it and I love them. I use them on all my detectors . If I remember you have to have the mono 1/4" jack or the stero to mono jack for the Fishers. Can't remember which way it was for the Fishers I just play around with it switching and get the right one. Get the stero 6" cable though. :D: :D: Later Jerry aka Tinfoil
