radio shack discovery 3

Has anyone used this model. I recently bought one off e-bay. How old is it? This is my first. I downloaded the owners manual off of the radio shack site. It seems pretty confusing. Any help would be appreciated.

Gee hard to tell its age and are still sold at the Bounty Hunter Store for $299.00 and were made for Radio shack for years. Sort of a sleeper as it has lots of bells and whistles plus approx. 6 inch depth. and a nice light, good ergonomic unit for the bucks...Hard to tell what your problems are but if you E-mail me perhaps I can answer your specific questions... I assume you are referring to the 300 model as perhaps they have a 3 model as bounty hunter has many models. It was initially sold by Radio Shack but indeed made by Bounty Hunter. Main problem is with this unit you lose your settings when you pinpoint as it does not have a memory but what I do is pinpoint in Disc. and although have used very expensive units feel its very effective for an entry level unit...
